Presented by the Longevity Science Foundation

Longevity Science Foundation will organize the inaugural Longevity Science Summit in Miami, bringing longevity experts and enthusiasts together.

Life expectancy has increased significantly over the past century, rising from just around 30 to over 70 years. As for the next hundred years, average life expectancy is projected to reach 90 years, thanks to the advancements in science and longevity research.

However, living is not just about adding years but ensuring those years are lived in good health. Imagine a world where the diseases that haunt our later years, such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer, are no longer inevitable; a world where aging doesn’t mean decline but rather an opportunity to live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

This is the promise of longevity science, a field dedicated to understanding and addressing the root causes of aging and age-related diseases. Yet, this literally life-changing field remains significantly underfunded and plagued by misinformation.

Longevity experts come together at Miami

Working to fix these problems, the Longevity Science Foundation (LSF) is a global nonprofit organization committed to funding research aimed at preventing chronic and age-related diseases. By prioritizing scientific integrity over commercial interests, LSF bridges the gap between promising longevity research and real-world applications.

To further address the challenges facing longevity research, LSF is hosting the inaugural Longevity Science Summit on March 13 in Miami. The event aims to debunk misconceptions by providing evidence-based insights from experts, shed light on the necessity of funding related projects, and shape the identity of Miami as a center for longevity science and research.

With a carefully curated guest list of 120 attendees, the summit prioritizes quality over quantity, bringing together scientists, venture capitalists, private equity professionals, philanthropists, healthcare leaders and enthusiasts to drive meaningful discussions and action.

The summit will feature a series of presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Attendees will hear from experts like Kayla Barnes-Lentz, owner of LYV Wellness; Dr. Jose Antonio, co-founder and CEO of the International Society of Sports Nutrition; Ella Davar, a longevity dietician; Dr. James Galvin, professor of neurology, psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Miami; Dr. Ravindra Ganesh, a physician at Baptist Health Concierge Medicine; Dr. Richard Siow, director of ageing research at King’s College London; Prof. Pawel Swietach, professor of physiology at the University of Oxford and Sergey Jakimov, founding partner of LongeVC. Topics will range from the state of the longevity industry to the role of women’s health in the broader ecosystem of aging research.

An interview with Kayla Barns-Lentz, a prominent expert in female health optimization and preventive and regenerative methodologies, will be a key highlight. The evening will include a networking dinner and wrap up with an expo of longevity businesses the LSF has credentialed, offering guests an opportunity to connect with key figures in the longevity field.

The event seeks to raise $250,000 to fund high-quality longevity research projects —such as LSF’s latest Female Fertility and Longevity funding call, which aims to improve reproductive health and extend women’s biological clocks— and foster collaboration between researchers, investors and the broader community. Those not attending the event can donate as well. The collective impact of new funders can help usher in an age where humans live healthier, longer lives with longevity positioned as a right rather than a privilege.

Shaping a longer, healthier future

Securing top-tier speakers, panelists, and presenters, the organization is still seeking sponsors and supporters who share its mission of funding transformative longevity research. Additional support will help advance critical studies and bring longevity solutions closer to real-world application.

The LSF envisions a future where life expectancy is much longer than what was imagined before, and diseases do not define the later years of life. By empowering rigorous scientific inquiry and bringing together passionate individuals, LSF aims to help ensure that longevity solutions are accessible and supported by strong scientific foundations. As awareness around longevity science grows, the Longevity Science Summit in Miami will be an opportunity for the community to come together and contribute to advancements in the field.
