An exciting partnership has been forged between BITNATION and Liberland, which will take open source governance to a whole new level. Creating a voluntary nation is not an easy feat, but the partnerships that have been established by BITNATION so far are certainly putting the concept on the right track.

Liberland Is A Valuable Partner to BITNATION
For a concept that many people did not give a great chance of success, BITNATION is creating a positive track record by partnering with various other programs and like-minded people over the past few months. Not only is there the collaboration with Exopshere, but the project is also involved in E-Estonia, and now Liberland.
It has to be said, however, that Liberland is a very bold initiative, as achieving geographical sovereignty is quite a significant move. Liberland President Vit Jedlička – and his voluntary staff – have been working tirelessly on spreading the word about their sovereign nation, located between Croatia and Serbia.
Very few people are aware of how BITNATION Founder Susanne Tarkowski Tempelhof has been involved in the Liberland project since day one. Or to be more precise, the set up the Facebook group and urged people to contribute to the sovereign nation’s Constitution. This goes to show there have always been certain correlations between both initiatives, and they are coming together once again.
BITNATION’s Andy Tudhope stated:
“Liberland is a perfect partner in our ongoing search for platforms (like Ethereum), organisations (like Exosphere), and forward-looking Nations (like Estonia) to join us in our mission to create a peaceful and voluntary nation for all who wish to participate. We admire Liberland’s mission to set a bold precedent for geographical sovereignty.”
Thanks to this new alliance, Liberland citizens will enjoy all of the services provided by this sovereign nation regardless of where they are in the world at that time. BITNATION’s DIY Governance services – including a Public Notary, education program, and a refugee program – will be available to Liberlanders at any given time.
Decentralizing governance and all of the services that go along with it is a massive undertaking. However, with the right strategic partnerships in place, a more resilient network of independence can be created. This will allow both BITNATION and Liberland to “scale” according to the needs of our society.
