Catizen aims to Web3 gaming’s fragmentation by launching a unified game center within Telegram, integrating popular mini-games and the CATI token to enhance user experience and streamline blockchain interactions.
The Web3 gaming market is projected to exceed $133 billion by 2033, fueled by technological advancements like Telegram’s integration of The Open Network (TON) blockchain. Utilizing TON, Telegram has introduced crypto payments and Telegram Mini Apps, an open platform that empowers Web3 businesses to deploy crypto-friendly applications directly within the messaging app.

Among these Mini Apps are various Web3 games, many of which are popular clicker games where players repeatedly tap the screen to progress. However, despite their popularity, these games often struggle with sustainability and face challenges in managing the significant traffic generated by TON.
The Web3 gaming ecosystem also faces challenges due to fragmentation, where many games are developed independently without standardized frameworks. This disjointed approach dilutes user engagement and hampers the seamless interaction necessary for onboarding players from Web2 to Web3.
Telegram community unified
To address this fragmentation, a unified concept similar to “Steam for Telegram Mini Apps” is needed. Such a platform would streamline access and enhance the overall user experience by providing a unified interface for gamers and developers.
By leveraging the integration of Telegram and TON, Catizen emerges as a compelling solution that unifies popular mini-games in a single game center, aiming to create a seamless environment for gaming and blockchain interactions. With Catizen, users can enjoy mini-games without the hassle of changing ecosystems whenever they wish to play a game.

Catizen officially launched its game center on the TON ecosystem on Aug. 8, 2024. Transforming the Catizen gaming bot into a comprehensive platform, the update will introduce 18 games to the game center, including:
- Star Wing (3 million users)
- Fruit Master (over 10 million downloads on Google Play, rating 4.2)
- Farm Fu (over 500,000 downloads on Google Play, rating 4.5)
- Zen Triple 3D (over 10 million downloads on Google Play, rating 4.6)
- Idle Magic School (over 5 million downloads on Google Play, rating 4.0)

By gathering multiple titles under one roof, Catizen’s expanding ecosystem eases the transition from traditional Web2 gaming to the Web3 landscape, simplifying navigation for users.
Cultivating a lasting Web3 gaming environment
Catizen’s business strategies have proven effective onboarding, converting up to 7% of traditional users into Web3 participants.
Central to these business strategies is Catizen’s native CATI token, which functions as a governance token, enabling users to vote on game listings and project selections for improved returns. Users can leverage CATI to engage in transactions, participate in governance and take part in events like airdrops.
The game center leverages CATI to create a more sustainable ecosystem. Catizen will implement a revenue-sharing model, with 100% of the contributions from self-developed games and 30% from third-party games, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to a balanced and thriving gaming environment.

Highlighting Catizen game center’s potential, Catizen co-founder and CEO David Mak said:
“Based on the 30% user conversion rate of mini-programs in the WeChat ecosystem and comparing it to Telegram’s 900 million monthly active users, the future active users of mini-programs could potentially exceed 300 million!”
With this ambitious vision, Catizen aims to lead the Web3 gaming arena, leveraging sustainable solutions like the CATI token and Telegram’s substantial user base. Since the launch, Catizen game center has seen nearly four times the usual traffic, with daily active users reaching over 400,000.
The platform also reports a 40% retention rate, with a significant portion of players returning regularly to the game center. As it evolves, Catizen has the potential to become a central player in the broader adoption of blockchain technology, offering users an enriched digital playground.
