Binance is inviting crypto and blockchain enthusiasts to participate in the discussion of the future of Web3 at Binance Blockchain Week in Istanbul, Turkey.
The accelerated growth of the Web3 ecosystem has been a surprising outcome of the current bear market, prominently known as “crypto winter.” Developers and businesses saw the flattening price tickers as an opportunity to focus on building, and innovation has picked up the pace.
True to the phrase, “A bear market is good for building,” Web3 development has achieved new horizons on many fronts, from decentralized finance (DeFi) to gaming and nonfungible tokens (NFTs). The momentum of innovation brought the need to gather and talk about the latest and most significant trends in crypto and blockchain that would shape the future of Web3.
After bringing together thousands of Web3 enthusiasts in Dubai and Paris in 2022, major crypto exchange Binance unveiled that it picked Istanbul, Turkey, as the address of its next flagship event, Binance Blockchain Week 2023.
Binance Blockchain Week 2023 overview
Scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9 at the Divan Kuruçeşme, Binance Blockchain Week 2023 will provide a platform for innovators, policymakers, thought leaders and blockchain enthusiasts to come together and join the discussion on how to bring the next billion users to Web3 while enjoying the grandeur of the Bosphorus.
Across two main stages, the event will bring together around a hundred influential individuals for meaningful discussions on critical topics related to the future of Web3. Attendees will have the opportunity to make new connections and collaborate on solutions for the ecosystem while exploring the latest industry innovations, trends and challenges.

Binance is expecting over 2,000 people to attend the conference, with participation not limited to Web3 enthusiasts from Turkey but comprising interested parties from around the world. Additionally, many more attendees will have the opportunity to follow what’s happening at Binance Blockchain Week Istanbul online via Binance Live.
Explaining the event’s primary goal, Binance co-founder and chief marketing officer, Yi He, said that Binance aims to “continue building the Web3 and blockchain industry together, expanding on its potential to improve financial equity and positively impact society overall.”
Istanbul: The intersection of history and innovation
Binance chose Istanbul as the location for its flagship event because, as the business hub of Turkey, the city combines historical characteristics with an openness to the future, bringing “the old world’s charm and the new world’s daring innovation” together. Turkey is also known as a leading country in crypto adoption and curiosity.
Istanbul acts as a strategic geographical bridge between Europe and Asia. After shouldering the role of a regional business hub for centuries, the city has brought in many international collaborations in the blockchain space thanks to its accessibility and established startup ecosystem. Binance has been fully operational in the country since 2020, and the crypto exchange picked Turkey to launch its first customer service center in April 2022.
Marking that Turkey is a strong backbone of the global crypto ecosystem, Yi He said:
“[Turkey] is a dynamic destination for attendees to learn more about blockchain and be part of the new era of finance as we gather in a leading region of innovation to build for the industry’s future together.”
