Dubai, June 6th – XBorg has increased its early-stage funding to $9M following its recent token sale, further solidifying XBorg as the leader in digital identity within the gaming industry. XBorg plans to use the additional funding to supercharge the development of their player identity protocol and support the increasing number of leading esports teams adopting their technology.

XBorg is on a mission to drive the evolution of online experiences with digital identity, data ownership and decentralisation. Their player identity protocol enables developers to build games and applications that provide unique experiences for players based on their identity, via the XBorg ID. This will create a more personalised internet with countless new ways for players to utilise their data, reputation and history. Added with the ever-growing possiblities that AI brings, players can expect tailored in-game world interactions, adaptive storylines, immersive fan experiences and more.

For any protocol to be successful, it needs developers and users at scale. Some of the world’s biggest esports teams are already building identity-powered applications on XBorg's protocol, to take their online fan experiences to the next level. Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team BDS are among the teams announced thus far, with more teams to be revealed later this year. XBorg is also working closely with leading blockchains to develop their gaming ecosystems by connecting traditional players to their partner games. Through these partnerships, XBorg is on track to onboard millions of players into Web3 and lead the charge for identity-powered gaming experiences.

XBorg’s recent funding complements their earlier rounds raised with the participation of executives from the Ethereum Foundation, ESL, FaceIt, France Esports, Aave, Yield Guild Games, Moralis and more. The additional funding also strengthens XBorg’s recruitment efforts, recently attracting top talents such as the former Senior Product Designer from leading gaming application, Blitz. Following the XBG Presale, Louis Regis, Founder and CEO of XBorg commented:

“The success of the XBG Presale is a significant milestone in XBorg’s journey. The raise will help us attract top talent, support our leading esports team partners in building game-changing applications and onboard millions of players into Web3. We couldn’t be more grateful for the immense support and trust we’ve received from our community, who have been our biggest supporters from day 1.”

With their XBG token launch approaching, new esports teams and blockchain partners joining their protocol and big product launches on the horizon, the rest of 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting period for XBorg.
