This is a promoted article provided by the Bitcoin 2023 conference. Bitcoin 2023 and Bitcoin Magazine are both operated by BTC Inc.

The Bitcoin Conference series has hosted unforgettable moments and historic announcements on its stages over the years, from President Nayib Bukele’s message to the world that El Salvador would adopt BTC as legal tender to Serena Williams, Aaron Rodgers and Odell Beckham, Jr. describing why they all choose to be paid in bitcoin.

And, once again, the Bitcoin 2023 stages are set to host pioneering open-source projects, the largest bitcoin mining firms, leading Bitcoin businesses and more. Even as new speakers are announced and more panels are assembled each day, it’s already clear that this year’s event is set to once again make history.

Highlighting the lineup is Michael Lewis, author of best-selling books like “The Big Short,” “Moneyball” and “The Blind Side.” Lewis is uniquely qualified to lead discourse at an event focused on cutting-edge financial technology as a former Wall Street bond salesman whose writing often focuses on economics and behavioral finance. “The Big Short,” for instance, details the credit default swap market that fueled the financial crisis of 2008. That economic collapse inspired the creation of Bitcoin, with Satoshi Nakamoto referencing a subsequent bank bailout in the first-ever Bitcoin block in January 2009.

Speaking at Bitcoin 2023, Lewis is positioned to describe how Bitcoin fits into the larger global economy, how legacy financial institutions should view it as an asset and what it means as an alternative financial system now that banks are being bailed out once again.

Of course, Lewis won’t be alone in sharing unique insight and perspective on stage at Bitcoin 2023. MicroStrategy Chairman and CEO Michael Saylor and investor Bill Miller IV will participate in a fireside chat titled “Thermodynamic Savings”; investment strategist Lyn Alden and Bitcoin Policy Institute Fellow Natalie Smolenski will discuss “Bitcoin, Energy Systems And The State”; the Human Rights Foundation’s Alex Gladstein will address “Bitcoin Vs. The IMF”; and much more across the 150-plus speakers who will be participating.

On Industry Day, Bitcoin 2023’s main stage is set to host content themed around “Becoming Antifragile” and “What Happened?” On general admission day one, the themes will be “Bitcoin Network Investing” and “Bitcoin World View.” And, on day two, they will be “Spending And Giving Bitcoin” and “The Future Of Contributor Culture.” Meanwhile, the Enterprise Stage will host Pitch Day, “Bitcoin Alpha,” “Bitcoin Tools,” “Bitcoin And Risk,” “Bitcoin Business Models” and “The Future Of Innovation.” And the Mining + Energy Stage will host programming themed around “Mining Operations,” “Mining And Markets,” “Energy Literacy,” “Decentralized Mining,” “Networks And Grids” and “The Future Of Mining.”

With so much programming already in place and so much more to come, all addressing the many aspects of our society that Bitcoin is changing before our eyes, it’s clear that Bitcoin 2023 will once again make history live and in person.
