Ternoa, a layer-1 blockchain dedicated to accelerating the transition to Web3 by providing easy access to advanced NFT features, has successfully completed its mainnet roadmap. This journey began in 2021 with the sale and launch of Capsule Coin.
A robust infrastructure for enhanced on-chain privacy
In April 2023, following two years of research and development, Ternoa’s governance implemented Phase 4 on its mainnet. This phase introduces advanced NFT features, now natively available to all users on the chain, including Private Content NFTs (Secret and Capsule NFTs) and Transfer Protocols.
With Private Content NFTs, it is now possible to associate content with an NFT while restricting access to that content exclusively to the NFT owner. This enables the creation of unique use cases, such as time capsules, on-chain loot boxes, or private social media platforms.
Transfer Protocols offer the ability to schedule NFT transfers to third parties based on specific trigger events, such as a specific date, elapsed time, multi-signature consensus or real-world events like the death of the NFT holder.
Combining these features unlocks an entirely new realm of possibilities, propelling decentralization and digital content ownership to the next level.
Enhancing accessibility and scalability to fuel mass adoption
To create Private Content NFTs, Ternoa relies on a sophisticated architecture that encrypts data, stores encryption keys on decentralized servers and utilizes Intel SGX’s Trusted Execution Environments to reassemble encryption keys, enabling secure access to the data.
Secret NFTs, Capsule NFTs and transfer protocols are all accessible to developers using JavaScript thanks to Ternoa’s software development kits. “Ternoa’s fourth phase marks an exciting milestone for both our team and our community,” said CEO Mickael Canu. “We believe that introducing Secret NFTs and Time Capsules will enable us to further expand the potential of blockchain technology and provide users with greater control over their digital assets.”
