Porn downloads always carry with them some kind of danger or, in the case of this notorious former hedge fund manager – tons of money.

Martin Shkreli, one of the most reviled scammers of the 2010s, claimed that the enormous collapse of a cryptocurrency named after him was caused by a hack originating from an attempt to download porn.

This transpired after the cryptocurrency called Martin Shkreli Inu dropped by more than 90 percent after a dump from a digital wallet associated with MSI. The wallet unloaded 239 ETH, or almost $450,000. Curiously, the dump happened after the crypto registered a weekly high.

Porn Virus? Yeah, Right

However, social media believe he is just making things up. Shkreli allegedly has a connection to the hacker’s wallet, therefore it is plausible that he is in possession of the “stolen” funds.

In reaction to an inquiry conducted by the YouTube channel SomeOrdinaryGamers, owned by Muta Anas, Shkreli stated that spyware infiltrated his computer when he was attempting to obtain adult content.

The file with the name “BigT*tsRoundAs*es” was not an.mp4, but a.zip file containing a 700-megabyte screensaver.

If his claims are accurate, he may be to blame for failing to perform a thorough inspection of the extension in question, which would have revealed the absence of sexually explicit material.

The fact that he reconnected to the internet before detecting the issue raises more suspicions.

The YouTuber is said to have received the purported porn file from Martin Shkreli, who has been convicted of two counts of securities fraud linked to pharmaceutical company Retrophin and two hedge funds.

Since being imprisoned in 2015 for operating his company as a “Ponzi scheme,” Martin Shkreli has been dubbed “the most hated executive in the world.”

The reason for the hostility is simple and clear: he patents medications with inflated prices. For instance, he got a license to supply the life-saving medicine Daraprim and then jacked up the price of each pill from $13.50 to an eye-popping $750.

Thus the moniker “Pharma Bro.” Since then, he has been blacklisted from the pharmaceutical sector.

Pharma Bro spent little time in prison; he was incarcerated for seven years and was freed early this year.

In July, he disclosed the MSI-affiliated Druglike firm. He referred to the Web3 project as a “software platform” that provides tools to those engaged in early-stage drug research programs.

Shkreli began dealing in cryptocurrencies after regaining his freedom, and despite the fact that he is despised by many, he managed to establish his own little following.

Regardless of what actually occurred, the hack and all, it is evident that any enterprise led by Shkreli, particularly those associated with the pharmaceutical industry, should be viewed with extreme skepticism.
