Raw Ventures, a venture capital fund, has announced the jury panel for the first Global MediaTech Pitch Day on Sept. 28, which will have an AI-powered juror as a part of the decision-making team. Raw Ventures has also partnered with Amazon Web Services to offer selected startups up to 25,000 euros in the form of credits for Amazon infrastructure, providing valuable resources to accelerate the companies’ growth and development processes.
The jury panel will also have the seasoned expertise of Rick Grandy, principal solutions architect on the professional visualization team of Nvidia; Aljoscha Burchardt, principal researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence; and Anna Shakola, chief business development officer at Cointelegraph Accelerator. These personalities will converge with the generative AI-powered juror, who will aim to encapsulate the collective expertise of multiple experts and thought leaders. The Pitch Day will take place within the MediaTech Hub Conference, a major industry event in Europe.
Peter Effenberg, founder and director of MediaTech Hub Conference, commented:
“This year, we are excited to host over 50 international speakers. Among them are industry leaders such as Sabine Anger of Paramount International, Benedikt Frey of Samsung TV Plus and Sten-Kristian Saluveer, head of Cannes Next Marche Du Film. We are delighted that our event will also feature promising global startups, as they represent the future of our industry.”
The Global MediaTech Pitch Day offers mediatech startups the chance to secure up to 1 million euros in investment, compete for a 10,000-euro award for the best pitch and gain unparalleled industry exposure and media coverage with all travel expenses taken care of. Raw Ventures’ commitment to simplifying the fundraising process for these startups makes it a standout opportunity in today’s uncertain economic landscape.
Victoria Palatnik, managing partner at Raw Ventures, said:
“We have received applications from highly promising startups in various fields, from streaming platforms and media production to AI solutions in the field of education. The geographical scope is very wide — we have pitches from more than 30 countries, including interesting projects from Africa and Asia, who tend to have less financing opportunities. We are open to all founders who are willing to present their projects to the jury, industry leaders, investors and fellow colleagues regardless of whether they only have an MVP or have been operating in the market for a rather long time.”
This opportunity is open to startups from all corners of the media industry, ranging from traditional TV, music, streaming and advertising to the dynamic world of Web3 technologies, as well as ventures involved in content creation, including edtech startups. The Global MediaTech Pitch Day is set to become a transformative moment, igniting innovation and collaboration among mediatech visionaries and investors. This is the occasion for entrepreneurs to showcase their disruptive ideas and secure the support they need to revolutionize the media landscape.
With the extended submission deadline of Aug. 22, this opportunity caters to those who have been on holiday, ensuring no visionary entrepreneur misses their chance to submit their idea for consideration, even if they are unable to attend in person.
