One good turn deserves another. After the success of January’s North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami, a second such conference has been announced for July 19 and 20 in Chicago.

The conference will be held at McCormick Place and will feature a number of speakers, including Roger Ver, Daniel Larimer of Bitshares, Tony Gallippi of BitPay.

Organizers said that major industry figures will be on hand, as will a number of regulators and bankers.

“Workshops targeted at merchants will act as a forum for vendors, exhibitors and recent Bitcoin startups to share their latest innovations and inform discussions,” organizers said in a statement. “Regulators, banks and government officials will be on hand to lead panel discussions that will be light on fluff and heavy on content.”

“Right now is a critical moment for Bitcoin,” the event’s site reads.

“The world's most independent currency just turned 5 and is entering a crucial phase in its development. In the last six months, the currency has dramatically increased in visibility and has experienced the pros and cons of the limelight: rising acceptance with vendors and shoppers alongside scrutiny, regulations and fluctuating prices.”
