The meme coin space is showing signs of life, with most coins moving back into the green over the past 24 hours.

Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) has been among the best performers, rising 22% to $1.28.

Meanwhile, new meme coin Flockerz (FLOCK) continues to build momentum in presale – edging closer to the $6 million funding milestone.

Meme coins bounce back as Bitcoin breaks $100,000 barrier again

Meme coin traders have seen significant gains across the board.

These coins have capitalized on Bitcoin’s latest surge past the $100,000 level.

A flood of trading activity - $22.5 billion worth in 24 hours – has pushed the meme coin sector’s value above $124 billion.

From Dogecoin’s 6% climb to Shiba Inu’s 8%, and Pepe’s 10% rally, all the biggest names are back in the green.

It’s a sharp turnaround from the gloomy mood that hung over the sector earlier this week.

While MOG is still down, most established coins have been busy following Bitcoin’s lead.

The world’s largest crypto is up 6% since Tuesday’s low.

Crypto Rover, a popular trader on X (formerly Twitter), didn’t hold back his enthusiasm – declaring that Bitcoin’s push above $100,000 signals that it is finally “breaking out.”

PNUT token rallies on potential Coinbase listing

Topping the meme coin market right now is Peanut the Squirrel.

PNUT’s trading volume is up 80% to $1.4 billion as word spread that Coinbase had added the token to its asset roadmap.

This suggests the exchange plans to list PNUT for spot trading soon.

The news sent PNUT’s market cap soaring past $1.2 billion, though it’s worth noting this is still well below last month’s peak - sitting about 48% shy of its all-time high.

For PNUT holders, a Coinbase listing would be a significant milestone.

While the token is already listed on top CEXs like Binance and OKX, getting onto Coinbase would make PNUT available to a large base of US retail traders.

It would also boost the token’s legitimacy.

Unsurprisingly, the mere possibility that PNUT will list on Coinbase has prompted a wave of demand.

That’s why PNUT’s price is outpacing all other meme coins right now.

Flockerz presale project nears $6m milestone with new Vote-to-Earn model

Another meme coin that’s quietly been performing well is Flockerz, raising $5.8 million in its presale phase.

This new project has drawn attention by offering its native FLOCK token for a fixed price of $0.00635.

Would-be investors can buy FLOCK using crypto or a bank card.

The developers plan to list the token on an exchange once the presale ends – although no date has yet been announced.

Most of the excitement around Flockerz is because of its novel approach to community governance.

Its main feature is a Vote-to-Earn system that puts power in community members’ hands.

“Flocktopia DAO” members can earn FLOCK tokens simply for participating in key decisions about Flockerz’s future.

For example, whether to implement a token burn or launch a marketing campaign.

The more proposals a community member votes on, the more FLOCK tokens they can earn.

Alongside this Vote-to-Earn system, Flockerz has a staking app where FLOCK holders can lock up their tokens for yield.

Members of the project’s Telegram channel are particularly excited about the staking rewards estimated at 456% per year.

Even popular crypto commentators like Cilinix Crypto have discussed Flockerz recently.

Ultimately, with the broader meme coin sector showing renewed momentum, Flockerz aims to capitalize - and push towards the $6 million presale milestone.
