Japanese game developer and publisher Konami Digital Entertainment has announced its collaboration with the Avalanche blockchain to launch its new non-fungible token (NFT) solution, “Resella.”
The NFT platform aims to advance Web3 services by providing a streamlined solution for companies and organizations looking to integrate blockchain technology into their operations.
Streamlining NFT Transactions
In an announcement sent to Cointelegraph, the Avalanche team said the platform is designed to simplify the creation, issuance and trading of NFTs.
The platform also aims to make it easier for newcomers to engage with blockchain technology. The platform eliminates the need for external Web3 wallets or complex cryptocurrency transactions, a key feature that follows its user-friendly approach.
Resella supports transactions in Japanese yen, catering to Japan’s local market needs. However, the new NFT platform also plans to expand its functionalities for global users, aiming to broaden its reach.
In addition, the team said developers can incorporate the platform’s functions into their applications while users benefit from a straightforward marketplace experience.
Bridging traditional gaming and Web3
Beyond its primary function, Resella also facilitates the transition of existing platforms into the Web3 space. By making Web3 technologies more accessible, Konami Digital Entertainment aims to create an inclusive environment where businesses across various sectors can explore blockchain innovations.
Resella also envisions new social experiences within the Web3 ecosystem. For instance, NFTs from gaming environments could be used as event tickets or to unlock exclusive in-game content, enhancing user engagement and creating richer experiences.
Powered by an Avalanche Subnet and supported by Ava Labs’ AvaCloud Web3 launchpad service, Resella offers efficient operations with zero gas costs for users and consistent processing speeds. This ensures a smooth transaction experience, reinforcing its appeal as an NFT solution.

Gaming continues integration with Web3
As gaming continues to benefit from Web3 technologies, more infrastructure are being built to support the collision between the two industries.
On June 18, gaming-focused blockchain Ronin announced a new or zero-knowledge (ZK) Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) layer-2 chain to scale Web3 games. The team revealed it would introduce the dedicated ZK chain to help its game studio partners grow and accommodate more users.
Sky Mavis, the team behind Ronin, said they aim to create a unified gaming ecosystem that allows token swaps, asset transfers and NFT trading between layer-1 and layer-2 games.
