The self-taught artist Demsky has traveled around 50 countries doing graffitis and this form of art is the home of his artistic influence. He continues to feel “obsessed with twisting the morphology of his name in multiple, unconventional shapes”, says on his website.
Demsky’s nostalgia for the 80s and 90s has been growing towards a desire to create “a balanced mix between future and nostalgia, radical creativity and exact sciences.” Now, Mirror presents itself as an extension of the artist’s “otherworldly physical works” through the possibilities of augmented reality NFTs, which allow for the art piece to be in communication with people all around the world.
Our newest and largest project, PHASE MN:01 MIRROR, is our attempt to bridge the real and digital worlds. It’s the first release in our vision of a “camera metaverse” – a creative-driven digital layer in augmented reality.
The project was designed to offer an international experience as its “8,888 one-of-a-kind AR NFTs” were released with “a mysterious set of coordinates” worldwide. As part of its immersive shapes multiple dimensions, the sculptures were given an evolving capability that allows them to change their look, sound, and tokenized metadata “when placed at those revealed coordinates”.
Each Anima project introduces a new AR mechanism that they’ve developed, like location triggers, crafting, object pinning, nestable objects, and spatial sound. Token metadata is viewable within the AR experience itself through patented technology Anima developed to display live blockchain data in AR and 3D worlds.
Mirror hopes to expand the AR experiences and interactions through real-world actions. Anima explains that this release shows they are creating “truly interactive augmented reality experiences” and owners “will join a community of explorers, transcending physical and digital boundaries in a blended reality that exists only in the camera metaverse.”
This Anima AR metaverse project aims to connect physical and digital realities in a way they can complement each other “in real-time”. They think this is a true manifestation of the metaverse as it “exists as a digital layer on top of our world”.
How To Become Part Of This AR NFT Project
Mirrors can be reserved in Anima’s new web marketplace for $200 each through crypto and fiat as means of payment. Anima allows collectors to request a reservation of 15 NFTs tops. Within the month, randomly-selected winners will be able to finish their purchase.
Furthermore, Anima says they have more AR projects in progress with several interesting creators: “an iconic fashion designer, a former NASA astronaut, a Grammy-nominated composer, a world-famous cryptographer, and artists like Matthew Day Jackson and Michael Kagan.”
