Are you ready for an epic showdown, gamers? The highly-anticipated Cards of Ethernity (CoE) tournament is finally here! In partnership with Fractal, Aether Games is launching this tournament on Jan. 24, where players will have the chance to compete for a massive $5000 cash prize pool and claim exclusive event card backs and emotes.

CoE, which currently boasts 150 collectible cards for players to build, craft and explore, has already gained a dedicated following in the gaming community. This tournament will surely attract hordes of players looking to prove their skills as competitive card game masters. And if you’re not already a fan, you can check out Cards of Ethernity on Twitter and Discord.

Players must head to the CoE project page on Fractal to join the battle and click “Play Now.” From there, players must download the launcher from CoE’s official website and install the game. Once the game is installed, players must sign in with their Fractal Wallet to qualify for the tournament and the leaderboard. Only ranked matches will count for tournament progress, which will become unlocked after completing the tutorial section. The tournament will last for a month, ending on Feb. 24, with players able to compete in unlimited matchups.

But that’s not all, gamers! In addition to the cash prize pool, Fractal and CoE also offer a limited edition card back in partnership with Polkastarter Gaming (PGG). But hurry, the card back can only be claimed within the first 48 hours of the tournament launch and players will need to register with their Fractal Wallet email. Here’s how to claim your card back:

  • Log into the game tournament and make a Fractal Wallet within the first 48 hours of the tournament launch.
  • Look out for an email from Fractal and PGG. When you receive it, go to https://polkastarter.gg/ and register an account with your Fractal Wallet email.
  • Claim your special badge, then follow the steps on PGG’s site to mint your “Fractal x Polygon x PGG CoE OG” proof-of-play nonfungible token (NFT).
  • With a proof-of-play NFT, you will receive the commemorative, tradeable card back in your CoE in-game account within the week.

This tournament is a major step forward for Fractal as it continues to expand its offerings on the Polygon network. The platform aims to establish itself as a leading player in the blockchain gaming industry, and our current partnership is a significant step in that direction. The tournament is also expected to drive the adoption of the Polygon network and showcase its capabilities as a high-performance, fast and optimized blockchain.

As an extra effort, we make this tournament a truly fluid and exciting experience for everybody by hosting “Community Gaming Sessions.” These events will happen at the end of each of the four weeks of tournament length and will range over the weekend starting on Fridays. Players will be rewarded with the in-game currency, Aether Coins, which can be used to purchase booster packs for expanding your deck.

For those interested in participating in the tournament, it is important to note that players are encouraged to thoroughly study the tutorial and read through the game’s mechanics before entering the tournament. Players are also encouraged to reach out to the Fractal team for any issues or concerns they may have.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to prove yourself as a master of the card game and grab some sweet rewards along the way. Join the tournament now and let the battle begin!
