Going above and beyond

Last year, ETH Shanghai 2022 was supported by sponsors and partners including Ethereum Foundation, CBCDF, Business China, ChainIDE and Mecha Morphing.

It also featured some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, former United States ambassador to China Terry Edward Branstad, CEO of Business China Tin Pei Ling, ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin, Mask Network founder Suji Yan, Arweave founder Sam Williams, ChainIDE founder Wu Xiao, Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal and NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin, sharing insights on scaling solutions and privacy, providing valuable guidance to aspiring intellectuals and developers.

This year, in addition to a stellar line-up, the event will dive into a large variety of exciting topics, including Web3 infrastructure, decentralized storage, layer 2, zero-knowledge proof, developer tooling, the intersection of Web3 and AI and the future of decentralized social networking.

ETH Shanghai 2023 will feature a series of engaging activities and will run from June 25 to July 6, 2023. Participants can look forward to virtual workshops and office hours led by successful Web3 project founders and investors. On July 7, 20 teams will be selected to enter the final battlefield, “Apollo Demo Day,” and showcase their creativity and innovation to over 100 VCs, funds and media companies from across the globe.

Meanwhile, the ETH Shanghai conference will also feature esteemed speakers, including Tim Beiko from Ethereum Foundation, Mask Network founder Suji Yan, Quantum Fund and Soros Fund Management co-founder Jim Rogers, NEAR protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin, Arweave co-founder Sam Williams and many more.

Hackathon for everyone, anywhere

This year, as the ETH Shanghai conference takes place in Shanghai, HackQuest is taking the hackathon online, bringing together like-minded individuals from around the world to build and innovate. Participants of the hackathon will also be invited to attend more than 10 bonus “closed-door workshops” led by hackathon mentors.

Different from previous years, developers, creators, artists and entrepreneurs from across the globe are welcome to participate virtually to BUIDL the next killer app for Web3 and battle it out under the spotlight for prizes from HackQuest’s partners including KCC, Mantle, Scroll, Blade Dao, P2P Cloud, Bytetrade Lab and sponsors including The Graph, Consensys, Chainlink, Chainbase, RSS3, NEXT.ID, EthSign, WeaveDB, DeGate, 0xScope, DB3, KNN3, IOSG Ventures and more.

“We are thrilled to co-host the ETH Shanghai hackathon and make the exciting opportunity available to builders all across the globe,” said the HackQuest team. “We are confident that this event will inspire new ideas and foster innovation in the Web3 world, and we look forward to welcoming all participants to this exciting event.”
