October 2, 2024, GGEM — a Web3 Game Launcher, a gaming infrastructure designed for blockchain games and newcomers to crypto and blockchain technology — is excited to announce its most significant Launcher update yet. Users will enjoy a more intuitive interface, personalized game suggestions, and a wishlist feature to track upcoming releases, a redesigned homepage and game pages, an enhanced recommendation engine, and improved search functionality. The game pages now feature new visuals, including trailers, and customizable player profiles allow for greater personalization. The Launcher also introduces an auto-update feature.
Enhancing the user experience
The GGEM team has redesigned its homepage and game pages to provide a seamless and visually immersive experience. Users are now welcomed by a more intuitive interface, making it easier to discover new titles, catch up on trending games, and dive right into gameplay. Personalized recommendations have been enhanced, allowing players to find games suited to their interests, while the addition of Live Streams lets users keep an eye on real-time gaming events.
The introduction of a wishlist feature now allows users to keep track of upcoming games. The new category filter on the left side panel provides an efficient way to sort games by genre. This update, which adds more game genres, makes it much easier and more convenient to explore GGEM’s extensive library of Web3 games.
Recently listed games on the Launcher include titles like Rage Effect, Crystals of Fate, Cryptopia, Token Tails, Monsterra, R-Games, Conkis, Infinity Heroes, Arena of Faith, The First Strike, Astra Nova, Fahad Kingdom, Banksters, GensoKishi Online, Curse Breaker, Legends of Venari, and World of Kogaea. Currently there are 35 games onboarded. By the end of 2024, they plan to onboard more than 100 blockchain games.
New Main Page on GGEM Launcher
Brand new game pages
Each game page on the Launcher has been completely refreshed, now featuring new visuals like banners, integrated screenshots, and, for the first time, game trailers to give users a closer look before diving in. Game details, an "About" section, social media links, and community updates are all easily accessible. Additionally, each game page now includes a Wishlist button, so users can save titles they’re interested in and track upcoming releases directly from their profiles.
The revamped recommendation engine offers more precise game suggestions based on several factors: game genres, active playtime, user clicks, and even wishlist additions. This ensures players are matched with games that align with their preferences and gameplay habits, creating a more personalized discovery experience. By analyzing player activity, the engine introduces users to new titles they’re most likely to enjoy, based on past interactions. This makes finding the next favorite Web3 game more intuitive and engaging.
Brand New Game Pages on GGEM Launcher
Game discovery and search optimization
The newly improved search functionality offers a comprehensive way to explore the GGEM Launcher. With faster response times and detailed search results, players can filter through recommendations, search game cards, and even receive event suggestions relevant to their favorite games.
Customizable player profiles
The updated profile section now gives players more customization options, allowing them to tailor their profiles to reflect their gaming identities. Players can change profile pictures, choose from 12 ready-to-use standard avatars, update nicknames and emails, and manage profile settings with ease. While personal achievements aren’t available just yet, these upgrades open the way for deeper engagement and community interaction.
Auto-updates and improved download management
One of the key updates in the GGEM Launcher is its new auto-update feature, meaning users no longer need to reinstall the Launcher to access the latest version. This addition ensures that players have the most up-to-date experience at all times, without the manual hassle of updates.
Additionally, the GGEM team has implemented a progress bar at the bottom of the Launcher for game downloads, providing real-time information on installation progress, download speed, and estimated completion time. Players can now keep track of their downloads easily, making the entire process more transparent and user-friendly. All these things are available on the Desktop (PC) version of the Launcher.
Supporting game developers: bigger audience, better engagement
The update also focuses on game developers, providing tools to reach a wider audience. Through personalized recommendations and live events, developers can boost visibility and engagement.
GGEM will soon release an Admin Panel, giving developers control over updates, events, and news directly through the Launcher. Shortly after, a dashboard with analytics will be introduced, offering valuable insights into game performance and player behavior, streamlining how developers manage their content.
