Time to congratulate Brisbane’s residents – Genesis 1 installed the first Bitcoin ATM in Brisbane city, Australia.

A new ATM was launched on May 16 at the Roastery Café in South Brisbane and is owned by Australian company Bit2Bit.

As with all other Genesis 1 Bitcoin kiosks this one allows customers to exchange cash into Bitcoin and withdraw digital currency from an online wallet. Moreover, it accepts Litecoin and Dogecoin.

The Roastery Café on 25 Glenelg Street is a place where you can see the roasting in action, enjoy an espresso and some delectable delights. The café is located at Rouge Coffee a boutique coffee roaster.

The café also accepts Bitcoin payment. Here customers can buy a cup of coffee for about 0.007311Bitcoins.

“There’s a lot of people who have been waiting for this. There’s Bitcoiniacs who have meetings here everywhere every week, and these groups are growing rapidly,” said Bruce Carrall, co-owner of Rouge Coffee.

Genesis Coin Inc. is a software development company that is currently working on solutions for the digital currency market. The price of Brisbane’s first Bitcoin ATMs is $15,000 and it was shipped from US.
