What was meant to be an evening of pure magic and entertainment turned out to be a triple celebration for Everus Technologies as over a thousand guests at its ‘Genesis’ launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia witnessed the surprise signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Everus and two independent Russian merchant networks on the 30th of October 2017.

Genesis, which marked the official launch of the EVR cryptocurrency, was the culmination of the Everus Blocktober World Tour 2017 (BWT17), where the Everus core team traveled across the globe through Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Switzerland, Russia, Poland, Philippines, Cambodia, England, India and Greece to personally engage both cryptocurrency enthusiasts and laymen alike. Their aim was to gain insight into barriers and needs of ordinary people at the brink of a cryptocurrency revolution.

BWT17 also helped execute the Everus Merchant Onboarding (EverMO) agenda, educating and having workshops with merchant networks in the countries they visited.

The first payoff for the EverMO efforts was signing up Zdrovie LLC and Sanitas LLC in Moscow, two major pharmaceutical products and services companies who saw the Everus vision and its potential in providing their customers an alternate method of paying for their purchases and services at both online and physical pharmacies - using EVR, the cryptocurrency of Everus World.

Both Zdorovie and Sanitas represent the Association of Independent Pharmacies (ASNA) which is the largest network of pharmacies in Russia, consisting of more than 7,000 pharmacies throughout the Russian Federation.

The official representative signing on behalf of ASNA and Mir Zvukov was business mogul Dinmukhamed Tangiev, said in his post-signatory interview, “We are proud and confident that Everus can help us bring Russian merchants into the cryptocurrency environment. Pharmacies and medical services are just the first wave of merchants - this is just the beginning of our partnership.”

Next to board Everus World and accept EVR was Mir Zvukov LLC, headquartered in Odintsovo, Moscow, who provides medical services through a chain of clinics throughout the Russian Federation.

The MOU signings were witnessed by Dato Sri S.K. Devamany, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia. In his officiating address, he expressed his praise for CEO Srinivas Oddati’s efforts, “The man has created a vision for Malaysia. Crypto(currency) is still new in this part of the world, and he’s leapfrogging the nation into a world of digitization and financial technology.”

In his launching speech, Everus co-founder and CEO Srinivas Oddatti said, “The launching of Everus and making it available to the world will revolutionize the way we do business. Everus is not just another blockchain or cryptocurrency opportunity - it is a community of users and merchants.”

Alexander Johnson, Everus co-founder and CFO explained how Everus’ merchant-centric modus operandi could be key to accelerating mass adoption. “Everybody believed that the mass adoption of cryptocurrency was going to come through the consumers. What we’ve actually learned through this journey, is that it will come through the merchants,” he said.

Also present at the Everus Genesis event was His Excellency Kem Cheat, Minister of Interior for Cambodia.
