Is conference season underway? Hopefully Denver can warm up a bit over the course of the next month, as crypto fanatics and executives look to congregate around what has turned into one of the biggest annual crypto conferences every year, ETHDenver.
Let’s take a brief look at what sort of programming the free-to-attend conference is offering, speakers you can expect to see on-site, and more from the upcoming event.
Can The Crypto Market Warm Up In The Cold Denver Climate? After months of bear market conditions – that have felt like years – some crypto spectators believe that conditions could be turning tide. Broader markets have finally been seeing some green to start this year, and while we’re likely still far from being out of this current bear market cycle, it is possible that recent price action could be leading to a break from pain.
Regardless, the cool Denver weather will be offering what many hope to be a warm home for bulls and bears alike. The conference is self-described as the “world’s largest annual Web3 #BUIDLathon and Community Innovation Festival.” ETHDenver’s flagship ‘#BUIDLathon’ will be running this year from February 24 to March 1, with main event programming immediately following, operating from March 2 to March 5. A final programmed event, dubbed the ‘Mountain Retreat,’ will close off the slate in nearby slopes of Breckenridge, with snowboarding and skiing paired with open-sourced events in a more relaxed, laid-back setting.
What You Can ExpectProgramming in the initial #BUIDLathon looks to consist of a lot of programming that you would see in blockchain-specific events, including builder-specific engagement that includes over $2M in winning incentives. Bounties, community events, panels and happy hours will dominate the programming throughout #BUIDLWeek.
#BUIDLWeek will be followed by general conference programming that will run the gambit when it comes to speaker sessions. The ‘face’ of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, will be a featured speaker, along with the Governor of Colorado Jared Polis, and Big Green DAO founder Kimbal Musk – among others.
In a statement shared with Bitcoinist, ETHDenver founder John Paller stated that “ETHDenver is about bringing diverse creativity around a common purpose and aims to propel the global blockchain ecosystem into the future… our artistic, community-driven festival is unlike any other event in the space because there is no cost for attendees, creating an accessible immersive and educational experience for anyone interested in participating. We welcome anyone that is interested in ideating and #BUIDLing towards a decentralized future to join us to get started or continue in their journey.”
We’ll see if that brisk Denver air can help cool off the sweltering heat of a bear market.
