Davos, Switzerland - January 23, 2025 - Returning for its 8th year, Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), the world’s largest leading non-profit association for blockchain and digital assets, convened thought leaders from across blockchain, digital assets, technology, and government for GBBC’s 8th Annual Blockchain Central Davos this week.
During Davos week, GBBC hosted diverse industry stakeholders in the Blockchain Central lounge as they explored digital trust and its intersections with various sectors including education, market investment, climate finance, global regulation, and more. Decentralized AI Society (DAIS), co-founded by Michael Casey and James Haft, collaborated with GBBC as the AI Knowledge Partner with programming focused on decentralizing AI. Highlighting 2025 as a year dedicated to furthering public-private collaboration with the convergence of emerging technologies on the rise, GBBC unveiled key announcements to kick off the new year:
Partnership with AI 2030 Initiatives
AI 2030 announced the launch of two transformative programs in partnership with GBBC, Sustainable IT, Empire AI, Decentralized AI Society, University of Dubai, and Woxen University. The two initiatives aim to address critical challenges in AI adoption, including bias, transparency, governance, and sustainability, while recognizing organizations that exemplify ethical AI leadership and innovation. The 2025 GBBC Ambassador Cohort
GBBC introduced the 2025 Ambassadors, now comprised of 284 Ambassadors across 124 jurisdictions and disciplines that enrich GBBC’s global reach. The cohort includes 50 new ambassadors and 9 new jurisdictions and disciplines: Bhutan, Cambodia, Energy Infrastructure, Government Affairs, Latin America (LatAm), Malaysia, Malta, Standards, and Trading and Markets.
