On Feb. 28, during ETHDenver 2023, Cocos-BCX announced a global strategic partnership with NodeReal — a Web3 one-stop infrastructure provider. Together, the companies will develop the first-ever rollup on BNB Chain, focusing on Web3 games. The rollup chain will be based on the Optimism (OP) Stack.
This is also the first layer 2 on BNB Chain.
In 2023, Cocos-BCX is poised to achieve another milestone in its development. On a mission to provide game developers with easy-to-use and comprehensive blockchain game infrastructure, Cocos-BCX has undergone a significant product transformation, positioning itself as “a scaling solution for Web3 games.”
The new Cocos-BCX is committed to providing robust scalability and low-cost infrastructure for Web3 games, building a more comprehensive technology stack and services, and bridging the gap for developers in 2D/3D games, metaverse, artificial intelligence and extended reality in the Web3 world.

Roadmap for the future
Cocos-BCX is currently in the development phase of layer 2 and will progress according to the following timeline:
- End of March 2023: Testnet launch.
- Early July 2023: Mainnet launch.
- November 2023: Release of a full-stack Web3 development infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the rebranding and renaming plan is also set to begin, and Cocos-BCX will thrive in the Web3 gaming ecosystem with a brand-new look.
