Bybit’s World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2024 wrapped up, marking it as one of the crypto industry’s largest and most inclusive events of the year.
Bybit’s WSOT 2024 has now concluded, redefining the standards for global cryptocurrency competitions by introducing a record prize pool and integrating decentralized exchange (DEX) trading.
In the latest edition of its global trading series, Bybit’s 2024 competition offered traders improved opportunities to engage and compete in an inclusive experience that connected traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi).
Key achievements
The Bybit WSOT 2024 competition has now wrapped up. The competition saw participation from over 77,000 traders from more than 160 countries. The 2024 event saw a huge increase in trading volume, exceeding $100 billion, with total trader profits surpassing $137 million.
Key achievements in the competition included Arena Tradingu forming the largest squad with 3,310 members, while the top individual trader secured a whopping $16.5 million in profits. Arena Tradingu also stood out as one of the most active trading squads, executing a mind-blowing 13.8 million trades in the WSOT 2024 competition.
The highest trading volume was achieved by squad 852hoodoo, which reached a staggering $6.9 billion, while Kennel Capital established the longest streak with a continuous 22-day trading record.
Bigger, bolder, better
Compared to last year’s competition, WSOT 2024’s focus on inclusivity shined through, enhanced by a tiered weighting system for a fairer competition, return-on-investment (ROI) reset features to give traders a fresh start when needed and the integration of DEX trading.
With the WSOT DEX Wave, Bybit launched its latest Web3 initiative, giving traders access to over 100 Web3 projects to explore, the opportunity to vote for emerging stars and the chance to compete for a 1,000,000 MNT prize pool.
This year’s edition of the annual competition offered traders more opportunities to win through UTA accounts, which allowed participants to join the competition with one main account and up to 4 subaccounts for an extra edge. Featuring donations such as 75 ETH to charitable causes, the 2024 competition combined community engagement, supportive efforts and top-tier prizes to unite global crypto traders from all backgrounds.
Bybit’s WSOT 2024 set a new bar for global crypto trading competitions. It bridged TradFi and DeFi, brought together traders from all four corners of the world and outperformed its previous events with over $100,000,000,000 in trading volume.
