With multiple XRP price predictions flying around, it may actually be time to start buying. Although these XRP predictions aren’t foolproof, historical data has shown the best time to start buying XRP in order to catch the most profitable time of year for the altcoin.
The Most Profitable Quarter For XRP Price
Looking through the price performance of XRP over the years, Bitcoinist has been able to come up with the most profitable quarter for the digital asset. This also tells us the best time to invest in the token as the XRP price has usually performed well during this time.
In the chat pictured below, it shows the average quarterly returns and we can see the best and the worst months. The first quarter of the year has not been bad historically but it has not been the best rather. It shows average returns of around $0.125. However, the second quarter does better.
Average second-quarter returns are above $0.2 which means it’s a better time to invest. But usually, it’s better to sell before the quarter runs out because the third quarter has the lowest returns by far of the four, coming out below $0.05.
Now, to the main act of the show, the fourth quarter which is arguably the best time to invest given its returns. Q4’s numbers are more than 2x higher than that of Q1, and almost 50% higher than that of Q2. What this means is that the months of October, November, and December are the best times for high returns historically for XRP price, making the start of Q4 one of the best times to accumulate XRP.
Breaking It Down Into Months
Zooming out further into the historical data of the XRP price shows that December has been the month with the highest returns for XRP holders. The start of the fourth quarter is usually slow, often being negative for the price. But this provides an opportunity to accumulate coins when needed.
As the year progresses toward its climax, the XRP price starts to pick up with November being a top 6 contender in terms of monthly returns. However, the creme de la creme of the bunch is December which has historically blown all the other month out of the park.
Returns for December are shown to be at least 2x higher than the second-best month. So accumulation from October going into the end of the year has historically carried the most reward for XRP investors due to its tendency to outperform in December.
If XRP sticks to this historical performance, then October is arguably the best time to accumulate while December is the best time to sell and secure profits.
