This is a promoted article provided by the Bitcoin 2023 conference. Bitcoin 2023 and Bitcoin Magazine are both operated by BTC Inc.

Any notions that Bitcoin is just another open-source software project or that BTC is merely a digital financial instrument would be quickly dispelled with a visit to one of the Bitcoin Conferences’ in-house art galleries.

Across a wide range of visual art, these annual exhibitions have showcased the creative energy that Bitcoin inspires and the countercultural messages that its community champions. The displayed pieces have demonstrated exquisite craftsmanship in their execution, technical pioneering in their use of blockchain technology and tokenization, as well as potent political statements in their delivery.

For Bitcoin 2023, the world’s biggest Bitcoin event in a year that has clearly demonstrated its need, the art gallery has expanded to include the most contributors to date across more space than ever, including a video projection room and several curated sub galleries. More than 50 artists will be participating.

Among the selected works will be a “McDonald’s Meme Drive-Thru Experience” by Hitomi Matsui, a pair of “Banks On Fire” paintings by Alex Schaefer and a 25-foot by 11-and-a-half-foot mural by Luis Simo.

And this year, the event will also host the world’s first Ordinals-focused art gallery, Ordinal Alley, bringing one of Bitcoin’s most quickly developing projects to its most prominent physical event. It will be a chance for attendees to personally experience the work of 21 digital artists whose creativity is inscribed on Bitcoin’s blockchain, as well as for those interested in building on this cutting-edge ecosystem to meet and grow together. Some of the largest Ordinals artists and builders, including Taproot Wizards, Gamma.io’s Xverse and Luxor’s OrdinalHub will be involved.

“Bitcoin 2023 will host the world’s largest Ordinals art gallery, featuring the best work so far in the community at that time,” explains the Bitcoin 2023 website. “Bitcoin 2023 will have activations and networking opportunities specifically focused on Ordinals, bringing the top of the industry together in person for the first time.”

Among these opportunities will be an in-depth workshop and networking session led by Casey Rodarmor, the creator of the Ordinals project who will also be speaking at the event.

As a gathering dedicated to this revolution in financial technology and personal sovereignty, Bitcoin 2023 will be home to some of the most thought-provoking art on the planet. And there’s nothing that brings such a holistic technology to life better than that.
