Over the past five years, AssetRush has established itself as one of the premier events on the Swiss financial services calendar. As much a network as a conference, AssetRush brings innovators and investors together with new ideas and technologies to examine and create new models for investing and new ways for changing our future.

This year, for the first time in its history, AssetRush will be coming to the Swiss town of Davos during the week of the World Economic Forum. As world leaders and influencers from government, business and academia come together to debate and discuss issues from global security to the promise of AI, this invite-only edition of AssetRush will do its part by taking a deep dive into the exciting new world of Assetization and key topics around the future of finance.

Assetization: The Trillion Dollar Opportunity

A combination of “asset” and “democratization”, Assetization stands for a new approach to creating financial products pioneered by GenTwo, the company originally behind AssetRush, and today one of its main sponsors.

With Assetization, it becomes possible for asset managers and all financial intermediaries to turn almost any thing or idea into an investible asset. This can be used to make the vast universe of currently non-bankable assets bankable and accessible by all investors – an opportunity estimated to be worth up to 78 trillion US dollars. This could have profound implications for the financial industry as well as many aspects of society.

Assetization: The Book

The Assetization opportunity is so large and the implications so important GenTwo’s founders, Patrick Loepfe and Philippe A. Naegeli, have written a book on the subject. During Asset Rush x Davos the two authors will open the evening’s program by presenting their work and signing copies of the limited edition first run.

They will discuss the making of the book, and deep dive into the genesis of Assetization, the opportunity it represents, and how it works. They will also be discussing how Assetization fits into the overall mega trend of the democratization of financial products, as well as what Assetization could mean for the future.

A well-rounded agenda

With RealVision’s Damian Horner as the Master of Ceremonies, it promises to be an exciting and informative evening all around.

After the book discussion, we will welcome Pete Casella, who previously led the Series A investment in GenTwo and sits on the GenTwo Board. Pete will be announcing his new business and views on the venture capital industry.

He will be followed by Sarah Schlagenhauf, who will talk about “Phygital Assets and the Power of Web3”. The CEO and Founder of ArtDeal AG, Sarah is a leading voice in the Web3 space. She will discuss how leading brands have started linking physical products to digital counterparts on-chain, what this “Real” Web3 commerce opportunity means, as well as some of her live Phygitals as part of the Vivents portfolio.

Daniel Andonovski will be talking about how investors can get access to alternative assets via AMCs. The CEO of Pioneer Asset Management AG, a company focused on innovation, transparency, and long-term development of investments, in this presentation Daniel will take a deep dive into the investment opportunities of ships and prestige cars.

To round out the evening, Victor Gao will l present on behalf of private investment bank Cedrus Group: “Navigating Geopolitical Headwinds and their Implications on the Economy”. Victor is an accomplished Chinese businessman and world-renowned commentator on China’s economy and geopolitics and currently a Senior Advisor for Cedrus Group. Among other current roles, Victor is the Chairman-Elect of the National Organization Committee of the IGU (International Gas Union) and an advisor to Saudi Aramco. Victor was a personal aid for Deng Xiaoping in the 1980s and his previous experience includes senior positions with Morgan Stanley, CICC and Daiwa Securities and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

AssetRush x Davos will take place on January 18 between 7:30pm and 9:30pm at the Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Belvédère.
