Alakanani is at the forefront of Bitcoin activity in Botswana. “Bitcoin is the only currency that unites people,” she told us. “It’s borderlessness draws people of different backgrounds together. It is love. The meetups and conferences just show how much this currency is able to unite, inform, educate and elevate people.”
In June, she will host a meetup to discuss local crowdfunding options.
