LiveJasmin + Bitcoin = Profit?
It goes without saying that Bitcoin is an interesting alternative payment method for customers who value their privacy above anything else. Especially when it comes to goods and services that you don’t want anyone else to find out about, digital currency is a preferred option. In terms of Bitcoin, there are two major areas where there seems to be quite a bit of success.
The online gaming and gambling industry has seen a tremendous success ever since the first major websites started accepting Bitcoin payments. Due to Bitcoin’s low to non-existent transaction fees, and faster deposits and withdrawals, it is a payment method that is beneficial to both the merchant and the customer. Plus, for the merchant, there is no additional infrastructure needed.
On the other hand, we have the adult industry, which has always been a booming business ever since its inception. And when the internet came around, new revenue streams opened up, as adult sites could charge a monthly membership fee. However, those subscriptions are usually paid with credit cards, which are subject to a 3-5% fee per transaction.
In order to come up with a viable alternative, several adult websites have experimented with Bitcoin payments over the past year or so. Platforms such as AsianBabeCams and Chaturbate have already started accepting BTC payments, and it was only a matter of time until a major adult website adopted Bitcoin. That website is LiveJasmin, which is ranked #219 in the world in terms of most visited websites on a daily basis.
It is important to keep in mind that Bitcoin is not replacing any of LiveJasmin’s supported payments at this time, but will be used as an additional payment option. For LiveJasmin customers who do not [yet] own Bitcoin, they can use one of the other payment methods, such as credit cards, bank transfer or Ukash.
