Paris, France, March 22 — Mickael Canu, founder and CEO of Ternoa, took to the main stage today during Paris Blockchain Week, introducing Time Guardian, the highly anticipated flagship application of the Ternoa ecosystem. The app promises to revolutionize our digital lives by enabling users to store personal data securely for a lifetime, with the ability to pass it on to friends and family when desired.

Secure your digital legacy

Time Guardian will be available on both iOS and Android devices, and enables users to create “Time Capsules,” which are data vessels accessible only by the owner, and transferrable to designated recipients based on specific events via three transfer protocols:

  • Date protocol: transfers made on a specific future date.
  • Consent protocol: transfers initiated by multiparty approval with a redemption period.
  • Death protocol: a unique solution for end-of-life planning and inheritance of digital assets.

Combining these protocols brings endless possibilities for the secure and convenient transfer of Time Capsules. With Time Guardian, users rest assured that their digital assets and messages are safe and will be transferred according to their wishes.

The user-friendly mobile app interface makes navigation simple, expanding Time Guardian’s use and adoption beyond traditional Web3 users. Time Guardian’s use case possibilities have no limits, including memory preservation, group event coordination, financial information, medical documents, digital inheritance and posthumous messages.

Time Guardian ensures the privacy of users’ data and guarantees users own their data, unlike most cloud storage platforms. With the help of state-of-the-art blockchain and encryption technologies, Time Guardian makes users’ data truly private and decentralized.

Canu announced that the app is planned for commercial launch in May 2023, starting in France, with plans to expand globally later in the year.

An infrastructure dedicated to NFTs

Time Guardian is built on Ternoa, a blockchain infrastructure dedicated to the mass adoption of nonfungible tokens (NFTs). Ternoa’s SDK makes it easy to create complex NFTs, such as transferrable, private-content NFTs at scale for use with any project.

Since its launch in 2021, Ternoa has attracted a growing and enthusiastic community of over 200,000 people, with 50 projects building on its infrastructure. Tenoa is backed by renowned Web3 and deep-tech venture capitalists following a successful token sale in 2021 and a first equity raise for its adoption arm, Capsule Labs, in 2022.
